Cathy's Apple Curry Pork Chops

Preparation

Cathy says she likes to make this dish when she's looking for something different. She says the curry is mild and is a great combination with all the apple ingredients.

Ingredients

diced onion
1
apple - cored & diced
1 1/2 cups (375 mL)
SunRype Unsweetened Apple Sauce
2 cups (500 mL)
SunRype Pure Not From Concentrate Apple Juice
1/4 cup (60 mL)
butter or margarine
2 Tbsp. (30 mL)
vegetable or chicken bouillon granules
1
clove crushed garlic
3 Tbsp. (45 mL)
curry powder
oil
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Season pork chops with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown pork chops in a small amount of oil, flipping once to brown both sides. Arrange pork chops in a 9" x 13" (22.9 cm x 33 cm) baking dish. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Cook and stir onions and apples in butter until they are caramelized. Stir in SunRype Unsweetened Apple Sauce, SunRype Pure Not From Concentrate Apple Juice, bouillon granules, garlic and curry powder. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour over pork chops and cover the dish with foil. Bake in a preheated 400°F (200°C) oven for 40 minutes or until the pork chops are cooked through.
