Braised Sirloin Tip

Preparation

Try this easy to prepare recipe served with rice or mashed potatoes.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time:  1 hour

Makes:  4 servings

Ingredients

2 Tbsp. (30 mL)
butter or margarine
2 lbs. (907 g)
beef sirloin tip, cut into 1" (2.5 cm) cubes
1 10 1/2 oz. (906 g) can
beef consomme
1/3 cup (75 mL)
SunRype Coastal Cranberry 100% Juice
2 Tbsp. (30 mL)
soy sauce
1
garlic clove, minced
1/4 tsp. (1 mL)
onion salt
2 Tbsp. (30 mL)
cornstarch
1/4 cup (60 mL)
water

Instructions

Melt butter or margarine & brown meat on all sides. Stir in consomme, SunRype Coastal Cranberry 100% Juice, garlic & onion salt. Heat to boiling, reduce heat, cover & simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender. Blend cornstarch & water, & stir into meat. Stir constantly until liquid thickens.
