Products & Nutrition

SunRype juices and fruit snacks do not contain peanuts or tree nuts. If you, or someone you’re caring for has known allergies, we recommend always reading the list of ingredients before consuming any product. The ingredient statement on the package provides the most accurate and up to date information about the product.

Our products do not contain any animal-sourced ingredients.

We’re proud to say that we add no artificial colours and no artificial flavours to the great taste of SunRype. We don’t use these additives in any of our products so that you can always feel good about serving SunRype to your family.

Yes, we do. Why? Because many nutrients, like the Vitamin C we add to our juices, are good for your body. A lot of the goodness in our products comes naturally from fruits and vegetables, but we also add extra nutrients that are key to the growth and maintenance of healthy bodies.

Reading labels shouldn’t require a science degree. The nutrition labeling on all packaging makes it easier to understand the nutrient content of foods we eat. You can also visit Health Canada or the Dietitians of Canada for more information. Please contact us with any questions.

SunRype beverage and snack products do not contain gluten ingredients. If you, or someone you’re caring for has known allergies, we recommend always reading the list of ingredients before consuming any product. The ingredient statement on the package provides the most accurate and up to date information about the product.

Juice should be consumed in moderation as part of a healthy, balanced diet, along with an active lifestyle. Juice should not replace milk especially for small children. Everyone should eat a variety of fruits and vegetables every day, as recommended in Canada’s Food Guide. For more information on foods and nutrition for your family, we always recommend you talk to your local dietician or healthcare professional.

We’re committed to making sure you have access to information you need to make informed decisions about our food & beverage products. That’s why we ensure that any of the top nine allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, sesame seeds, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, sulphites, fish and shellfish) would be clearly listed on our product labels. If you, or someone you’re caring for has known allergies, we recommend always reading the list of ingredients before consuming any product. The ingredient statement on the package provides the most accurate and up to date information about that product.

Our Not From Concentrate Apple Juice is a “not from concentrate product”. It’s our signature fresh pressed apple juice made with apples that are grown in North America. These apples are sourced from the Pacific Northwest including the Okanagan Valley region of Kelowna, BC and the Yakima Valley region of Washington State. We also manufacture juices that contain juices from concentrate. The concentration process involves heating the juice to evaporate some of the water contained in the juice, while still maintaining the taste. Removing the water makes the concentrate easier and more cost efficient to transport. Then, in the juice manufacturing process, water is added back to create a premium quality product.

All fruits and vegetables contain naturally occurring sugars. So when you enjoy the sweet, refreshing taste of our SunRype 100% fruit snacks and juices, the only sugars you get are the ones that were already naturally in the fruits and vegetables.

Packaging & Storage

We don’t recommend freezing and thawing of any SunRype juice containers. The cartons are not designed to be frozen and could leak.

SunRype products do not contain preservatives and require refrigeration after opening. To ensure the best possible taste and freshness, the juice should be consumed within a 7-10 day period.

To ensure you enjoy optimum taste and freshness, we recommend that products be consumed before the best before date on the package.

SunRype packaging is recyclable where facilities are available. Keep in mind that each province may have slightly differing guidelines and we would encourage you to check with your municipality for details.

Our products are safe for you and your family. The controversial chemical Bisphenol-A (BPA) is not used as either a raw material source or an additive in the production of any of our plastic containers. A plastic bottle marked with the #7 does not mean it contains BPA. The number simply helps consumers and the recycling industry in the container sorting process.

If the carton appears bloated or is leaking, the product should not be consumed. It’s a sign that there may have been some damage to the carton seal. This allows air to enter, which will negatively affect the quality of the product and packaging.

Our apple sauce container was designed to withstand the effects of a “hot-fill” process. The indentations help maintain the container structure during this process. The smooth walled plastic packages you may be familiar with (such as peanut butter) are “cold-filled” and don’t experience the same temperature fluctuations
